Devanand Janki is a writer and co-writer of new musicals ranging from intimate chamber works to large-scale theatrical collaborations. His projects include Private Lives: The Musical (based on Noël Coward), Our Lady of 7-Eleven, and With Bells On! The Musical (based on the play by Darrin Hagen), all created in collaboration with composer-lyricist Tommy Newman. His development work through Live & In Color has also helped bring projects from workshop to reading, world premiere, and Off-Broadway production, including Little Girl Blue: The Nina Simone Musical and Songs of Light & Joy: A Diwali Celebration.
